PROGRAMMES OUTSIDE INDIA

Programmes outside India are usually hosted by a local organisation with the support of donors and/or like minded friends.

IN ETHIOPIA

In Ethiopia, the programme in Mekelle was hosted by Women’s Association of Tigray with the support of their donor. The purpose was to introduce the concept of self help among its members who earlier had rifles in their hands in the struggle for freedom.

The women loved the programme as it contained practical tips on several issues relevant to their life and work. In their words it helped them in expanding their minds.
